If this isn't a reason for 4.1 I don't know one. I know I initially
agreed to do it for 4.0.7, but I don't think it's a good idea. Just
look at our release process. We're calling our beta releases release
candidates and breaking APIs between minor releases. Our versioning
scheme is just broken (yeah I know it has been working for 4 years, but
we've outgrown it now).
My suggestion is release 4.0.7 without this module change, and simply
change 4.0.8 to 4.1 with no extra huge wishlist to implement.
