I think this would be a problem with Windows boxes. Don't some of the DLL's for Win PHP and Apache need to go into the system directory? John W. Holmes wrote:
Has anyone ever tried to run a PHP/Apache/MySQL system on one of those Thumb/Pen drive systems. You can get 128MB for $35 now and it just seems like a great way to carry around a demo system to clients. You'd just have to plug it in, run a little bat file to start everything up, and then start browsing your pages. It doesn't seem like it'd be any different than running it off of a hard drive. Has anyone done this? Do you think 128MB is enough? Thanks for any information... ---John W. Holmes... PHP Architect - A monthly magazine for PHP Professionals.
