The PHP acronym makes perfect sense. Especially in the Linux world. Ever hear of GNU, which stands for GNU's Not Unix. If not, you probably shouldn't be running a site with a domain name like linuxguruz.com. Have you ever heard of Hurd. It stands for "Hird of Unix-Replacing Daemons." The name Hird stands for "Hurd of Interfaces Representing Depth." So you see, this type of naming convention is not at all uncommon. By the way Zend is simply the names of its founders.
