Everything went ok on the php end of things (./configure --with-apache=../apache_1.3.12 --enable-track-vars --with-gd -- with-jpeg-dir --with-mysql) but when I went to run configure on apache it complained about not being able to find the jpeg library... I assume this is because I left the --with-jpeg-dir blank (eg no ='/some/path/to/jpeg/stuff') but the manual is confusing about what to point this directory to: --with-jpeg-dir[=DIR] PHP 3: jpeg dir for pdflib 2.0 PHP 4: jpeg dir for pdflib 3.x Which to me seems to have nothing to do with why jpeg support isn't working for me but rather has something to do with the pdflib stuff (I only assumed I needed it because a user contributed a comment that it was necessary). But when I tried compiling without that flag it still gives the same "no jpeg support in this php build" message even with the new gd library..HELP!! -Marc-
