Copyright applies to intellectual property -- in the case of writing,
it's the *language* that is copyrighted, not the format in which it is
presented. Additionally, although it is
considered best form to apply the standard copyright notice to
materials ("Copyright 2000 John Doe, All Rights Reserved"), there is
an implicit copyright for the author even if she/he does not do so.
So reuse of online news feeds in the manner you describe would be a
copyright infringement unless the originator specifically
allows you to do this...
