If you're going to start moving it over it'd be best to start by making the declarations correct as XHTML 1.0 Transitional (both for the site and for the manual html build, do you need me to send you your old patch or do you still have a copy?)
The meta tags, image tags and style bits need doing as part of the same commit, otherwise the new DTD will totally ignore them.
Missing closing tags, we _seem_ to get away with, but obviously they'd be better fixed. Since most of this stuff's generated you'll probably find they only need fixing in about three places.
The stylesheets, I think we should review again after the rest is sorted out.

I went through a couple of pages last night to check. /> for meta and image tags is the main culprit, style = 'white-space: nowrap' is second, the rest I found were mostly actual HTML errors that 4.01 Transitional allowed us to get away with (missing closing tags and shiznit).So can I go on fixing them? -- Regards/MfG, Christian Weiske
