I'm indifferent to adding the restricted goto, and against adding a full-featured goto. We can do well without either of them.
As I keep being told - "If you don't like something you don't have to use it" ;) But while a controlled goto could be a useful tool for some areas where program flow is not so logical, making it freely available without restriction is just not a tidy way forward. No doubt *IF* a restricted version is added people will start - pushing the edges to add their own requirements - which is why ANY inclusion of a goto facility must be controlled! But the case for STARTING to include it must be robust ? -- Lester Caine ----------------------------- L.S.Caine Electronic Services Treasurer - Firebird Foundation Inc.
