A useable mirror contribute very much to PHP's success. It makes our
content available locally at a great speed rate. It's even better, if
the local mirror has as much service as it can (local search is the
key point here, statistics are not relevant for the regular user). The
new mirror candidate also offers local search, and probably better
speed then you can gain even if you host the mirror at your company.
It's not that we have any problem with yourself, we honour eveything
guys add to PHP, but our users cannot utilize slow mirrors, so they
are useless to maintain and update. I also used to have the first
Hungarian mirror site, but steped down to focus more on what I can
do for PHP ;)
