What is the role of php.conf anyway?
Should it be appended to htdig.conf?
Ups, it should be added as a parameter of rundig... This is somehow left out of the docs. Can you please try that out with a "-c php.conf" parameter, as described at http://www.htdig.org/rundig.html
Well, php.conf is now both used for indexing (because of the exclude_urls setting) and for searching (because the other parameters), so it is probably also a good idea to put start_url to php.conf and not modify htdig.conf in any way ;)
I'll modify the instructions to reflect this...
