At least you can access the content from the site; this change was *required* in order to maintain service without the hardware blowing up. I don't think you appreciate the effort that has gone into this, or by how many people, over the last 24 hours alone ON A VOLUNTEER BASIS. Now, we can refine the situation, but it will take time and effort; just be patient. Even better; phpweb is opensource, why don't you stop complaining and instead put some effort into submitting a patch to make things work nicely?
Probably because phpweb is opensource and so noone is the only author of the code. Just when Andrew got on 'phpweb is open source' and said, hey i'll make note maintainers life happier with having prevalidation of notes, Rasmus replied: "It is definitely a huge major change and not the way things are done in this project. Please revert." So is open source === do anything you like without discussion, cause you can? As discussion takes the time from valuable guys to do The Right Thing[tm]? Don't you think we have *options*. This is not a parse error, where you need to delete a } to fix the code. This is a multiple choice solution... And every choice needs a lot of work and discussion. You askes mirror maintainers to set up a htdig for local search just some hours ago. After that you switched the whole stuff to altheweb, then google. Do you think that seeing this from outside, this seems to be the deeply thought out right thing? Goba
