Sorry. I didn't get what you meant. If you mean trying to have a common API for Excel and PDF output, I don't think it would work. I can't use predefined fonts in Excel (Comic, Arial, etc..). PDF is meant for presenting documents, which means there should be no diference between what you see and what you print. In Excel I can define different worksheets (what I see), and inside those, different pages for printing. In FPDF there are no Font or Format objects (not as part of the API at least), so I have to define formatting as I go along, while in WriteExcel you first define Format objects which each new cell can later reference. I don't know if in spite of all of this a common API is feasible, but it would probably mean losing a lot of functionality for the sake of simplicity. By the way, was that what you meant?
