IMHO, that´s first and foremost a less complex perm container and Docs,
docs, docs :-)

What do mean by "mapping of auth and perm containers"?

I have announced on PEAR-General that I want to work on this by the end

As I said, I think the most important things are less complexity for
beginners and a shitload of documentation - right now the package seems
to scare off most people who have taken a first look on it :-\
Once the less complex container is ready for action, docs are next on my
personal todo-list.
