The tricky part is I have found, as a PHP advocate, Java developers find
PHP 'trivial' and not worthy of real development. I know this gets into
stereotypes, but this is true where I work. I have found that balance of
knowing when to use PHP for it's simplicity and power and when I
may be dealing with something more critical that may require the
flexibility and 100% OO nature of Java on a web server.
I can only hope more developers look at the two as items in a toolbox that
should be used when needed...not always in the "one or the other" viewpoint.
