These changes break BC and need modifications to keep BC. That's why we
asked small patches, a step by step change.

You may remember when and why, or check the archive.
So do we consider if a maintainer does not have actually enough time to
do some change to a package (which was here from a long time, I even
remember comments like 'keep it as it is, it works very well') must be
droped ?

That was not the problem here, and when I see something usefull and well
proposed, I rather prefer to give the hand to a contributor (keeping my
eyes on the stuffs), i.e. currently Dan is working on XSLT_Wrapper,
because he needs to add new things to it. I do not have time to do it,
but we have got a good and constructive discussion, that works well.
And, last but not least, this package is in a ***alpha*** state, there
is no consideration about BC or not.

So why did you not help Alexey to provide small patches without breaking
BC instead of useless flamewar and private mails ?
