I'll coordinate w/ Daniel. What's the PEAR standard for this -- ::getInstance() when there could be more than one instance (based on DSN) or ::singleton()?
MDB itself already offers the singleton pattern by DSN with ::singleton() but DB_NestedSet_MDB just uses MDB::connect().
