Hi everybody, I'm currently using the NestedSet package for one of my project. I would say the major inconvenient I went into with NestedSet is that even if it supports DB and MDB drivers, its SQL code is MySQL specific for a few requests. That includes the value2query method too, because for INSERT queries, it generated MySQL compliant SQL code only ! Thus, we have modified a bit the code so that it uses standard SQL and works fine with almost any database DB or MDB has a driver for. We have successfully tested it with MySQL (of course!), PostgreSQL, SQLServer and Oracle 8i & 9i. If you are interested, I can post the modified version or send it. IMHO, it could be a good idea to integrate database compatibility before rewriting some parts of it. Feel free to send me an email, or reply here if any of you feels interested.
