Hi, On Sun, 27 Jul 2003, Davey wrote:Ah, wasn't aware, definately no point in having a seperate packageThanks for clearing that up :) Would you think about creating a Crypt_NT_Hash and Crypt_DES_Hash standalone packages for use as drivers in Crypt_Hash and then use those from your Crypt_CHAP package? What do others think about it? I wouldI'm not sure, if it's good makeing here extra packages, because it's too much work for just 2 functions, because NT-HASH = md4(str2unicode(plaintext)) and DES-HASH = des_encrypt_ecb(plaintext,'KGS!@#$%'). that's all.
This package should be pretty stable straight away, although I will release a couple of betas first :)mean extra dependencies for Crypt_CHAP... but personally, I don't think thats a problem as its just a case of "pear install Crypt_NT_Hash Crypt_DES_Hash"for me it isn't a problem having an extra dependency, because I'm already using my own DES-functions (CHAP_DES.php) and later if the new Crypt_<whatever> package is stable, I would like to use this package for DES encryption.
