Sounds bad to me. PEAR hosts and cvs should contain only packages that
have been approved. CVS should be used for dev purposes. CVS allow TAG,
then you can work on a perpetual dev/test versions if you like to.
Releases have status and they clearly define the purposes
(alpha,beta,stable).
For experimental sources and/or new things, there are plenty of free
hosts or people have personnal webserver on their own company.
I cannot imagine as many personnal folder as there are pear members.
