First of all, again: Marshall, please respect other programmers. The package is not "messy" just because it uses GLOBALS. It can be discussed if it should use properties instead - but generally GLOBALS is not "messy". If you have concrete suggestions these can be discussed.
I apologize if I offended anyone with my comment. What I meant is that I think classes are a more organized way of arranging things than having functions and GLOBALS floating around by themselves. I want to see what Brad has done in PHP5, and then see what I can do in PHP4. I haven't figured out how I want to change things yet. I was wondering more whether changes I make should be contributed back to PEAR, since they likely won't add any functionality to the package, and could possibly break backwards-compatibility.
Addition to my last posting: There is already a Server.php that separately keeps the XML_RPC_Server-parts ...
Yes, but the functions at the top called XML_RPC_Server_XXXX seem unnecessary if they could be incorporated into the XML_RPC_Server class and then would only need to be called XXXX. Or perhaps they would be better suited in a Base class, but I will be taking a look at that. -- Marshall Roch
