Not required. And I'm not talking about a specific package. But if
it's the core-component, the installer, and we can agree on a
solution (also the pear-group, for sure) then we might be able to
extend the rules. We're not talking about breaking something. And as
you stated corretly: The *current* rules. So maybe if we agree on
something the pear-group we might change the rules accordingly and
everything is fine again :-)))
PS: If our solution with:
MDB/MDB.php
becoming
pear/MDB/2.0/MDB.php
is not acceptable with the rules and the rules can't be changed, from
your point of view ... then what are we talking about. That's what I
meant when I proposed that a first clearing summary for the ideas
mentioned, written and distributed by pear-group, might be a good way
to go.
