I like the idea. Zip is widely used now and a lot of users asked it.
I understand well you will not like to rewrite/redesign a well known
code, it should be even dangerous to do it at this stage. What do you
think if you commit it only when the 1st step of the"pearify" process is
done? Let say class name, methods, and phpdoc. This step will not change
the logic or will not add new methods.
Once it's commited, it will be easier for us to help, test, comment or
even enhance it.
When a good enough package is reached, you can then release an alpha.
Does that sounds good or is it a good compromise?
