Okay, but refering to the naming etc. he *could* at least have
written a small mail on pear-dev or at least write a message "what I
will do" so people could complain 24 hours before release :-)
It's not a grave problem I see - but as stated by some others it
seemed/seems not justified to start things like that without prior
announcement (sticking to the rules) or at least some announcement /
discussion (my prefered "practical" solution in this special
situation).
