phpsdl looks impressive. To be honest, I only put the linux_oss package
together because I needed a streamable PCM device to test the output from
oggvorbis with. And it was a single evening project at that.
A simple, unifed API for controlling sound which works on any platform is
ideal, I'm tempted to hold off on releasing linux_oss if PHPSDL really is so
elegantly platform independant. My only gripe is its monolithic nature (it
could stand being broken into smaller packages). That and its choice of
licenses. :)
