I actually gave that some thought while I was working on this module, though
I only looked far enough into your class to see that it focused on the
header data with no means to extract the audio samples. I didn't notice
that you'd planned on having a PECL package to do....well.... just what mine
does...
I'd be happy to look at integrating these two together somehow, though I'm
not sure what tack you have in mind.
I should also point out I have a few items on my TODO list before I hit a
1.0 milestone.
*) Accept comments (for header) from user via context option while
encoding new streams. (Not a difficult thing, just something that wasn't
critical, you'll notice my comment "For ver 0.2" in the source).
*) Deal with 32bit samples. (Again, just a case condition I didn't get
around to in my initial version).
My question to you at this point then, is what do you know of C? Were you
thinking of helping with the maintenance of the PECL end of this? Or just
focusing on the PEAR development?
In either event, I've gotten enough positive responses, I'm going to go
ahead and upload oggvorbis for now, with linux_oss waiting in the wings
(possibly to die there) while I look into libsdl.
