Hi,
I would like to propose a PEAR package named File_Apache.
It consists of the following classes/files:
/File
|
+- Apache.php - just a container with a factory method
+- /Apache
|
+- HtAccess.php - operates on .htaccess files
+- HtPasswd.php - operates on .htpasswd files
+- HtGroup.php - operates on .htgroup files
I know there's already a class called File_HtAccess, but I didn't
know that when I wrote mine (though some time ago). Also have a
look at the features.
Yesterday evening I spent some time making my classes PEAR
compliant, however any suggestions concerning API or object/class
structure and others are very welcome.
I even don't know if there is a use for this classes in PEAR.
Let's start with the simpler ones:
# HtGroup:
This class just manages Apache's AuthGroupFiles in a very simple
manner, with the ability to add/change/delete users and groups.
# HtPasswd:
This class manages Apache's AuthUserFiles with Apache's htpasswd
executable. It supplies an easy way to add user with passwords,
change passwords of users and verify passwords.
But there are two limitations deriving from htpasswd and encryption:
o DES is not available on Win32
o MD5 passwords cannot be verified
# HtAccess:
Of course this class is for Apache's AccessFiles commonly known
as .htaccess files, with the ability of creating restricted
areas, setting desireable php options and other commonly used
directives supplied by Apache.
Current abilities (set and read):
o php_flag
o php_value
o restricted areas
+ AuthName
+ AuthType
* Basic
+ AuthUserFile
+ AuthGroupFile
+ Require
o AddType
o AddHandler
o SetHandler
o Options
TODO:
o Docs & Testcases
o Directory and Files Container
o Rewrites
o Redirects
o ErrorDocuments
o Order, Allow, Deny
o ...?

PEAR-Package:
http://dev.iworks.at/php/PEAR/File_Apache-0.1.tgz
I tried to get x-httpd-php-source workin, but the files got
randomly truncated, so for syntax-highlighting use:
http://dev.iworks.at/php/PEAR/File/.source?file=Apache
http://dev.iworks.at/php/PEAR/File/.source?file=Apache/HtAccess
http://dev.iworks.at/php/PEAR/File/.source?file=Apache/HtPasswd
http://dev.iworks.at/php/PEAR/File/.source?file=Apache/HtGroup
I also tried to add some required dependencies but with a
dependency for sapi=Apache the package cannot be installed with
CLI and with prog=htpasswd pear exits without error message.
Regards,
Michael
