have you thought of implementing partial downloads? it works with the
"accept-range"-parameter in HTTP/1.1. If you use a download-manager
or something else that supports resuming then you need to implement
such a feature.
Would be helpful in a "download"-package, right?
Haven't had time for a deeper review, sorry. So no vote yet. But
maybe this suggestion helps.
PS: If you have no clue how to do it - I guess I must have some
example lying around somewhere :-))
