is what I say above more comprehensible if you replace "I don't
care" with "I don't insist on $this = PEAR::raiseError(...)"?
I'm not not hooked up to that construction, and IIRC it doesn't
work with ZE2 which is another reason against it, but it does
work around the lack of exceptions.
