If we but on checkboxes listing the packages, there will be a list of up to 250 checkboxes. A bit much I think. IMHO the textarea only solution is fine, because it's free to enter comments (as I did with Net_SMS). Typos do not matter in this case, because the dependency list is not processed anywhere and only printed out on the website.
