Hi Greg! Hi Toby!
I think you got something wrong. We are talking about package proposals. For a proposal there is no need for package.xml and it is not available. Well isn't that a bummer? Seeing as I've never submitted anything to PEAR, that's probably why I didn't catch that. Can you post a flow? Perhaps the existing PEAR project proposal flow, as well as what your system will change? It might give a guy like me a better understanding, and it would be a lot easier to make process suggestions. Perhaps the package.xml isn't included in the proposal now, but what if your change(s) included that? I don't want to tread in rough water here, but it seems to me that people don't like double work. Maybe there is a way to stream line this? I've spent a lot of time refining business processes, and this is one area I see pop-up a lot...
By the way, http://preview.pear.php.net/ takes you to the preview site (and allways did), since the preview site is a 1:1 copy of pear.php.net, except it contains PEPr, since you can see a link "Browse Proposals" on the main site and if you even logged into that site (using your normal pearweb account) you can create a "New Proposal" from there. By the way, I am a little slow on the draw sometimes. :) Next time, I really do have to read your email completely, and not gleam off the top. After actually paying attention to what you said this time (my bad) I found the PEPr review stuff. If I see anything I would like changed, I'll be sure to email you. -Greg
