Re: moving on

Hi, Lukas Smith wrote:

I would like to announce that I am steeping down from my position as member of the pear-group and member of the pear qa core team. I will still maintain my packages and so I will just become a standard citizen of the PEAR community. As a result in terms of mailinglists I will only be passively monitoring pear-dev from now on. So please keep this in account when you try to contact me.

Though I can understand your decision, I also hope you rethink your step. If you decided to do this because of the recent discussions and criticism of the PEAR group on the list, keep in mind that thousands of users are happy with what PEAR currently provides and only some complain in an inappropriate manner. Personally I hope that the tone on the lists will change and that people have more respect for each other and the opposing opinions. Best wishes from me, Stephan
