Yes, Snoopy is featre-full, but is also a "bloated" library for most
applications.
Most people don't need it and don't want to include a 30k library in a piece
of code that does a simple HTTP GET and spits the results.
Maybe we could commit both of these, and let the users decide which is
appropriate for their situation.
I myself have used Snoopy when I needed some of its features, but won't use
it if I only need a simple URL GET.
