PEPr has automatically finished the proposal on Math::Math_Polynomial. Sum of Votes: 4 (3 conditional)
Result: This proposal was rejected
This is very sad.....this proposal got no -1 votes but a couple of 0 votes. IMHO the voting period really should have been extended in this case since there was no negative feedback, just people not willing to vote yes or no due to their lack of knowledge about the subject. They were essentially abstentions. Yes, very sad.
I think the procedure was biased as no discussion gave *before* the call for vote.
What does everyone think of changing Pepr to discount 0 votes when deciding whether to extend the voting period? Why not at least warn the people, they should eventually provocate some discussions via the list ?
I would even forbidd a call for vote if no foreign comments there ... Very surprizingly, seems very few people saw the unique announcement about it. We have a pool of "math" devs here, so I expect some could give if enough delay. Anyway, Keith, a reject here never forbidd you to propose it again. I think you have allready some comments to work out. ... Then we put you on grill :) a+ -- toggg
