BTW, I think LGPL is also limitive in some cases. Quite often you do
not need all functionality LGPL package provides, but need to use a
part of it's code in your own project. If in BSD case it is sufficient
to mention author's copyright, with LGPL you need try to backport changes
to PEAR, where this proposal can be easily rejected due to it's
limited/specific nature, so the only way would be to rewrite the code
from scratch.
