.oO( Looks like the package-name has to be without the Namespace prefix )
Hi,
PHP::Shell is a interactive shell for PHP like iruby or ipython. I know
that Johannes has added 'php -a' as native shell. But it has a major
problem which is not easy to handle:
- FATAL errors kill the shell
That limits the use of the interactive shell dramaticly. PHP::Shell is a
pure PHP implementation and uses ext/tokenizer to pre-parse the
input-line for FATAL errors and handles them nicely.
The purpose of the interactive shell is the same as for all interactive
shells:
- it simplifies debugging
- it eases the first steps into the application
- inline help, tab-completion and autoload() are handy additions for
a shell.
