The installer now uses a config file (see php4/pear/PEAR/Config.php) where it will get the directories for php files, extensions and docs. However, the name of this config file is still based on those macros for Windows, it should probably use an environment variable instead. FFF (feel free to fix). If you want the installer to work on Windows, you need to help me out here. :-) - Stig
