Joshua Eichorn (http://pear.php.net/user/jeichorn) has commented on the proposal for
PHP::PHP_Callback.
Comment:
The point of a library is to remove the need for copy paste. With standard
callbacks i need to check them and throw exceptions at creation and
callback time. Because this is a hassle no one does this and code quality
suffers.
Just because a class is simple doesn't mean its not useful. The whole
point of PEAR is so I don't have to re-implement everything that PHP is
missing I can pull on the work of what others have done.
