Please update package.xml to version 2 by September 1st, 2008

Greetings PEAR Developers - As version 1 of the package.xml files will no longer be supported with the introduction of PEAR2/Pyrus, the PEAR Group is requiring all packages be converted to version 2 by September 1st, 2008. This can be done by simply running pear convert on your package's v1 package.xml file. All packages should upgrade their package.xml to version two or place a second package2.xml file along their existing package.xml - and upload a new release. For recommendations on the release version number you should use, log in to pear.php.net and view the "Package.xml suggestions" on your package homepage. If all packages are not updated by September 1st, 2008 the QA team will assume the un-updated packages to be orphaned and will update the package.xml file(s). If you would like to request that QA not update your package after September 1st 2008, please send a note to pear-qa.
