Pyrus (the PEAR2 installer) does not support package.xml v1 anymore. This is the main reason to get all packages to v2. I personally don't see a reason why upgrading the packages should not be possible. pear convert does the things for you, and releasing a new version isn't that hard. -- Regards/Mit freundlichen Grüßen Christian Weiske
