Thank you for the information Micheal. I didn't understand how this involved
the official repositories. So this is basically a vote to create a system
that would mirror the PEAR projects being hosted on GitHub via a PEAR
channel?
Couldn't this be implemented fully on the client-side? Would it be possible
to create a "virtual" PEAR channel that bridges from GitHub hosted PEAR
projects? I may have missed something so please let me know how far away I
am on this one.
