Zitat von Christian Weiske <cweiske@cweiske.de>:
Hello Kazuyoshi,
I like to presume that the common supposition has been to wait until php adopts data-types as objects the problem is that this will break the main php structure Its kind of sad because, this is holding php back and well so nobody is working on it! I think.
I am not with you in this case. PHP is not Java, not Python, not Ruby, not C. If you want Ruby, use it. Don't force PHP into something it is not. Perhaps its not PHP the way you see or use it. But why do the PHP developers establish type hinting, private and protected, late static binding, namespaces etc. When PHP gives me the chance to develop in a more strict and oo manor, and i want to use it, then this is my decision as a developer. And a repository for packages like pear should support different types of packages for different development approachs.
(Btw, its not always the developers choice which language he is allowed to use)
and even if it is done in pear I think this will revolutionate php-coding on a global scale, if not I think you'll like ruby a lot!
No it will not revolutonize anything. And I will vote against such a package. Sorry, but i think its weak to vote against a package, just because you don't want to use it. Revolution may be a little bit extreme, but it gives you new possibilites to use PHP (or at least others).
