For what it's worth, after setting variables appropriately, I can get
pear.bat to work (PHP 4.2.1, .zip from php.net, Win2k, Apache 1.3.24), but
it seems to have c:\php4\pear hardcoded somewhere; despite my setting
PEAR_INSTALL_DIR to c:\var\pear in pear.bat. If I copy the files from
c:\php4\pear to my actual PEAR directory, things work fine.
