Being one of those non-existent PEAR win32 users... i was wondering if you would like some help getting pear to work with this lovely OS? I have installed from snaps a couple of weeks ago, phpinfo says this about pear.... PEAR PEAR$Revision: 1.11 $ Does this mean it is compiled in ? do i still need to use php_pear.dll (only found one binary of this - didnt work). It all seems a bit confusing... The go-pear script just seems to download CVS, and then 'install' some apps. I have pear.bat (is this the equiv of the pear program?) - can pear be manually installed? pear.bat crashes with memory access errors. install-pear.php requires pear installed? You tell me :) We currently have no nice way of bootstrapping PEAR on Windows like we have on Unix (with "make install-pear-installer" and go-pear). What would be the most sensible way of giving Windows users something ala go-pear?
What about: <prompt> php -r "include 'http://pear.php.net/go-pear';" Tomas V.V.Cox I really don't understand why people even want to run this stuff on windows. Call me arrogant, but just use Linux for crying out loud. Doesn't this debate make it clear that windows just sux when it comes to doing anything remotely complicated. IMHO. I had to say it. But if you feel that you have all the time in the world, support crappy OSes. -- PHP Development Mailing List <http://www.php.net/> To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php -- ________________________________________________________________ Daniel Allen, <dan@mojavelinux.com> http://www.mojavelinux.com/ ________________________________________________________________ Windows: where do you want your data to disappear to today? ________________________________________________________________ -- PHP Development Mailing List <http://www.php.net/> To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
