making DHTML work on minority buggy browsers is normally as simple as not using document.all (document all was written for buggy MAJORITY browsers) instead use document.getElementById(element) , it works on minor buggy browsers as well as majority buggy browsers. Minority buggy browsers support most style attributes, so are actually 99.9% compatible I used to be an IE zealot too, then i caught it executing files without my permission (even tho it was fully patched), now i wouldnt be seen dead browsing with it... execpt to check my code for cross-browser compatibility :) Im not trying to start a browser war.... just dont use document.all and your code will work everywhere... (except NS4, but i think we can forget that one now...) At 13:41 16/06/2002 +0100, Richard Heyes wrote:
The latest uses JS, but is IE only... I do not understand the interest of an IE only menu in pear or I miss something, at least, it must work like the Ulf' menu in NS/Mozilla (we see the whole menu in mozilla), or ? Well if you want to see it work in Mozilla/Netscape then feel free to send me or post to the list a converted Jabbascript file and I'll add it it. Personally I don't have time to waste on buggy minority browsers. :) -- Richard Heyes Need webmail? http://www.v-webmail.co.uk -- PEAR Development Mailing List (http://pear.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
