I currently build pear manual with Cygwin since several months. I have hard work to make this thing working, since I am not an unix guy and never played with cygwin before (installed it only for peardoc). I had to gather several packages and build one myself with only the needed packages. I put it on my personal web space so that everyone can install this package. I proposed here to add a new faq I wrote several month ago but someone (Martin Jansen, not sure) told me this could be added in the next peardoc version.
