I am still having this problem. No matter I set charset to german1 or
latin1_de ... (yes - I did rebuild the tables)
Strange thing is that sometimes (on a certain machine ...) I also get an
error warning as output which is not so nice ... (I did not find out which
command produces this error and even tried to turn off the error warning by
DB_DataObject::debugLevel(0);)
The mySQL version that produces the error is 4.0.17 (Win2000 - php 4.3.2) I
do not know (and actually not think) whether this has anything to do with it
but on 4.0.14 and 4.0.18 (Win XP - php 4.3.2) I do not get the error. The
PEAR version was always the newest...
Any helping ideas would be highly appreciated!
Daniel
