yes it will. and it will also not work perfectly for some datatypes. i think it would be worthwhile to explore how to make db_do use the mdb2 datatypes. if this requires changes i am all ears. i kinda thought the idea of using bit operations to determine that a date needs to be quoted like text kinda neat. regards, Lukas
