Sorry, I didn't post to the lists the last time (simply replied ..), one
more little question.
On my Windows XP - PC I have a Xitami Server. PHP is running as CGI. Version
4.2.3
What is the secret about pear?
In the manual there it is mentioned that pear is like CPAN.
http://pear.php.net/manual/en/introduction.php#about.pear
Is there no way to download and install as easy as Perl-Moduls from CPAN ?
I'm trying http://pear.php.net/manual/en/installation.getting.php

I'm using just the part of pear coming with the PHP download,
e.g. ITX-templates in the directory .../php/pear/HTML/ITX.php

I searched, but there is no "go-pear.php".
I loaded the script from http://go-pear.org now.

I found some scripts
\server\php\pear\scripts\
- pear.bat
- pear.in
- pearwin.php
- ... more
and
\server\php\pear\PEAR\
- Autoloader.php and more
- \Command\
- \Frontend\CLI.php
In pear.bat I can set some directories like
set PHP_PATH=c:\server\php
set PEAR_INSTALL_DIR=c:\server\php\pear
set PEAR_EXTENSION_DIR=c:\server\php\extensions
set PEAR_DOC_DIR=c:\server\php\pear\docs
but when I execute I get
C:\server\php\pear\scripts>pear config-show
CONFIGURATION:
==============
bin_dir c:\php4
doc_dir c:\php4\doc\pear
ext_dir c:\php4
master_server pear.php.net
password <not set>
php_dir c:\php4\pear
preferred_state stable
username <not set>
verbose 1
Can anybody help me?
greetings,
Franz
