Still havent had time to write good docs and a complete tutorial.
Have you looked at the documents in the lower left corner?
If those are still too "techie" I can recommend the following course of
action:
The API is modelled after PEAR DB. There are some differences, which are
described in the php mag article. Armed with this knowledge about the
differences you might be able to use a PEAR DB tutorial.
