Personally I don't disagree with PEAR the way it is now. If I had to
disagree it would have been before it was started. It's too late now.
People that were intentionally left out are already out because of the
descriminative process of who can contribute.
PEAR could have been much better solution for the PHP community if did not
decide that your egocentric view would have not burn people out of being
contributors. The world can live without PEAR, so it is not a problem.
Anyway, my problem is that I can't agree is that somebody criticizes PHP
Classes repository in favour of PEAR repository because it requires login
to download when PEAR itself is set to restrict the people that can
actually contribute to it.
Furthermore I find it insultive to be implicitly "invited" to not post
on this list invitations to developers that are willing to contribute
especially when there is no guarantee that these developers will ever
have permission to contribute to PEAR.
