You are confusing, what is your point? You never mentioned a ext/filter removal neither agreed on my proposal yesterday (in the filter-0.10.1 discussion). Anyway, I think we have to delay 5.2.0 and solve this naming issue once and for all. We will need a RC5. I don't think BC is a problem at this stage, we can break it now and we should try our best to do not break it after 5.2. At least we can freeze the API (function names and signatures) now and release a RC5. But this extension is experimental, like it or not, that's a fact. The only two questions are: - do we want filter in 5.2.0? - do we want to change the API now or after 5.2.0? Two yes mean another RC, yes for ext/filter without API changes mean we are ready and we can break BC later. I have no problem with breaking BC after 5.2.0 (experimental). --Pierre
